Hopefully you never have to experience it; however it is better to be ready and not need that knowledge versus experience something and not know what to do.
Just because you are arrested, does not necessarily mean chargers will be filed against you. If you feel that you are arrested for the wrong reasons, you are the wrong person, the police got the story wrong, etc.- do not resist arrest. If you do, even if the arrest itself ends up being a mistake, you can be charged with resisting arrest.
A police detective might want to talk to you and you might want to tell your side of the story. Do not do it without an attorney present. Police reads you your rights for a reason: “Everything you say can and will be used against you.” – because it is true. Your statements will be used against you.
If you are not sure whether you need an attorney or not- contact Greg Spencer Law at (317)-918-5982 or (317)-529-6537 for a free consultation.
